The Main Use of Sec-butyl Acetate

Sec-butyl acetate can be used as a solvent, the solubility of sec-butyl acetate (SBA) is similar to n-butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate. In the coating formulations, it can be widely replaced with n-butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate. In metallic flash paint, sec-butyl acetate can be used to dissolve cellulose acetate butyrate to produce 15% to 20% solution. 

Acetyl acetate has good solubility in many substances, it can be used as a solvent for making nitrocellulose paint, acrylic paint, polyurethane paint, etc. These lacquers can be used as aircraft wing paint, artificial leather paint, automobile paint and so on. Acetyl acetate can also be used for the manufacture of celluloid products, rubber, safety glass, coated paper, patent leather and other products. It can also be used as a volatile solvent in printing inks for applications such as offset printing. It can also be used as a quick-drying agent for photographic materials.
